- One of the RAREST and COOLEST of all TEXAS LATIN SOUL 45s released by CAPRI RECORDS -- so elusive that only a handful of copies have surfaced over the years!
- The immensely collectible LATIN CHICANO 45 by SWINGER BAND!!
- Tracks are as follows:
- LA PLANTA (a wicked LATIN psych soul jazz funk instrumental with stellar PIANO/BRASS/FLUTE and BREAKS)
- VAMOS A VER (a stupendous TEJANO/TEX-MEX orquesta brass ranchera)
- Early-1970s regional release on CAPRI RECORDS (CA - 217 -- DALLAS, TEXAS, US).
- VINYL: The vinyl is visually VG (shiny wax with a scattering of hairline markings/light scuffings/tiny wax speck dots and such scattered throughout -- LA PLANTA plays OUTSTANDING with just some very faint static/faint background noise here and there...more so at the very beginning of the track...and a faint light tick or two...also, one cool sample-ready mid-song BREAK and another more improvised BREAK towards the end -- NO clicks/NO pops/NO skips -- VAMOS A VER plays GREAT as well with just some light static/faint background noise/faint ticks here and there...more so at the beginning of the track).
- LABELS: SEE PHOTOS (the LA PLANTA side has pieces of torn label paper glued down in the inner deadwax area which does NOT extend into the area of play and thus does NOT affect playback -- if you do your research, you will find that most copies of this 45 have the same type of label issue which occurred when the 45s were originally pressed in the early 1970s -- in other words, if you are waiting for a copy with perfect labels, you may never see one -- also, the VAMOS A VER side has some label peeling and such).
