vintage short film of singer Merle Travis - Studio Telescriptions 16mm soundie?

Here a vintage film of Merle Travis. We are not experts in vintage films, and hope our description and the photographs above will help those who are interested. The film is inside a box that has "Studio Telescriptions" on the top. Also has"No.3305" and "Title Too Much Sugar for a Dime" and "Artist Merle Travis" and "Time 3:14". The film is on a metal reel that measures about five inches in diameter. We believe it is a 16mm film. We do not know if this was meant for home use or was for movie theaters or even for a television station. Or it may be considered a soundie, though we are not sure what time period this is from. Merle Travis was a country & western singer who made many records in the 1940s and 1950s. We do not have a movie projector to test the film, but we did remove some of the very beginning of the film and looked at it in very bright light. And the film matches the text on the box. The film and reel appear to be in very good condition. The box shows some handling wear. We hope that the photos will help those who are interested. We will do our best to answer any questions.
