Description

For me as a boy in the GDR, Queen's music was the greatest but at the same time most unattainable in the world. What did we do in the vicinity of Dresden to hear the voice of Freddie Mercury with his "Bicycle!" or "We will rock you!" or the greatest hit "We are the champions". In Dresden there was no reception of Westradio. Queen was the epitome of freedom for us GDR adolescents in the 70s, which could not be reached for us. What a sensation, as in 1981 in the GDR an original vinyl LP under the DDR label AMIGA appeared. Until then, songs by Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Led Zeppelin, etc. could only be covered by DDR bands like the Puhdys - and now there was an original LP by Queen. The number of pressed plates was not enough. This is how the black market flourished. So I paid 1981 1/4 of a monthly salary for this record on the black market. I would like give thisrecord one Queen-Fan in u.k. This LP is a takeover of EMI Records London and a very emotional and great time testimony, what is hard to get - a rarity.
