My source for this historic 45: a 1960 JFK campaign worker in Arizona who had an unopened box in her closet for 50+ years.
High Hopes (featuring new, pro-JFK lyrics: "Jack's got...high hopes!", "Vote for Kennedy!", etc.) was a promo sent to radio stations in states with crucial primaries. Pioneering documentary feature Primary (1960) includes this recording in its coverage of Kennedy's W.Va. campaign. It sounds like the film's producers recorded it right off an AM radio!
The Chairman Of The Board and The President had a falling-out after the election & Frank was barred from the White House. Sinatra was royally pissed & took a sledgehammer to the helipad he'd constructed at his Palm Springs home for JFK's Presidential chopper. But according to daughter Nancy, after Kennedy's assassination Frank Sinatra "cried for days."
