This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

*VACUUM CLEANED*
VG(+). The vinyl remains shiny. The vinyl has just a few light marks to her, after playing her through, I found very little background noise...Mainly evident on the run-ins and inbetween tracks-that is all!
 Wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction.
Even the quieter side 4 played beautifully, with just some very light background cracjle at the start of 'Revolution 9'.
CERTAINLY NO JUMPS OR STICKS
A simple joy to listen to.
Really, REALLY nice playback!
The scuff mark at the start of sides 1 & 3 are barely noticeable in playback...Just a couple very light and gentle pops on track 2, side 3.
When I played record 2, I noticed a slight warp-evident when playing side 4...However, it didn't make any difference to playback as it wasn't audible..This is the only reason the vinyl only got a VG rating.


The labels: EX. All four of the labels have the DARKER apple.
Just a handful of incredibly light spindle marks to each label, with ZERO hole wear evident!

NUMBERED: 0587804 It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without writing!!
The spine remains INCREDIBLY strong and is very WIDE!
Has the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.

There are just 4 or 5 very small crescents of spidering to the back laminate...Nothing at all to worry about.(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is supremely nice).

AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

STILL OPENS WITH A CRACKLE-AS IF BEING OPENED FOR THE 1st TIME, BACK IN '68!

Inners: VG.
 Original BLACK inners. They are both all original with the die-cut corners and window to one side of each.
They do have a split to one side of each, but not noticable when laying them down.

Pictures: EX+.
The pictures are ALL ORIGINAL, glossy and on hevyweight paper...IN FANTASTIC CONDITION!!
NO rips or tears
NO writing or pin holes.


Poster: VG. It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front and uncensored.
NO writing.
There are some splits on the folds and light foxing in a few very small areas.
There is a small tear of 5cm to the bottom, but not noticeable when laid flat...Could repair well as it is quite neat. Small amounts of wear to the fold creases, but really nothing to worry about.
NO pin holes or writing.


ALL IN ALL THIS IS A SUPERB COLLECTORS PIECE HERE...DON'T FORGET:
IT'S  STEREO, NUMBERED, ALL ORIGINAL & ALL COMPLETE.
