!!!VERY FIRST PRESS MONO!!!

Professionally cleaned with a Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum record cleaner and then listened to-ALL the way through on a Focus One deck, SME arm with new Audio Technica stylus.

This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

The vinyl has just very light marks to her. After playing her ALL THE WAY through, I found a wonderful rich audio with just very minimal and very occasional light background noise. Even the run-ins of each disc and inbetween tracks are lovely and quiet.
There is one single little skip, which is on track 3, side 1, right at the start of Glass Onion it barely misses out anything…Tiny, tiny skip. Really was a joy to listen to.
Wonderfully clear playback!

The labels:

 All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
Just light spindle marks to each label, visible when angled towards the light...Lovely!
*THEY WOULD FRAME INCREDIBLY WELL*
Minimal hole wear.
"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

NO EMI RECORDING to side 3 & 4 labels. Incredibly early pressing here.

The Cover:

NUMBERED: 0104086 Low number. This could’ve been on of the 1st released, within the 1st few weeks of sale as the number is so low.
 It is the first run TOP loading and LOVELY & CLEAN, SUPERB shine to it. Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains strong.
There is a tiny little nick to the back panel, of around 5mm with a light line of spidering to the top right corner of the back panel-but only visible from inside. With another couple of lines to the laminate but-nothing bad at all.
Correct MONO cover as it doesn't have the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.
Only very slight knocks to the corners, nothing major what-so-ever.

All ORIGINAL BLACK inners. They both have wear-splits to seams and some tears to their windows.
They have the die-cut corners and the 'windows' on one side to each.
THEY ARE ORIGINAL
Certainly done their job by looking after these records for all this time!

Pictures:
They are all present (John and George, Ringo & Paul) but are reproductions.
They DON'T have any pin-holes around their edges.
Lovely and bright.
Beautiful white backings too!

It is the 2nd pressing, full size poster with lyrics to the back but no lips to the front.
