Released in October 1969, this Lp was the follow up to the hugely successful Zeppelin I... & what an album...Being the groups very first album to reach No. 1 in both the UK and the USA.
The album production was entirely credited to Jimmy Page.
(as a little note: In November of 1999 the album was certified 12X platinum!!)

SOLID.. Being one of my favourite albums of all time-it really wasn't a chore to listen to her through at HIGH volume!!
Solid sound reproduction..Deep bass and clear highs.
There are quite a lot of marks to the vinyl, but throughout the whole of playback the quality heavyweight Atlantic vinyl didn't make my needle jump, skip or stick.
There was some background crackle and pops noticeable (but not offensively so) in the quieter sections (one quite prominent revolutionary pop during the drum solo on side 2) and more so in the run-outs...But hey; when the tracks get going there's nothing to detract from a quality listening to Zepp at their best!

THIS ONLY OCCURRED ON THIS RED/PLUM LABEL VARIATION as other Red/Plum label variations credited 'Jones' for all 3 tracks.
