This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

QUALITY 164g...LOVELY & HEAVY!
VG(+). Nice, heavy vinyl, with only light marks to her.
*NO SKIPS OR JUMPS*
I have just finished listening to all of her (LOUD) and found some light and occasional background noise BUT also a superb rich deep bass reproduction.
A gentle professional clean, I am sure will get rid of the small amount of background noise and UPGRADE FURTHER!

Labels: VG+. There's a minimal amount of central hole wear as seen in the pictures. Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips.
 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.
NO WRITING
"KT" tax code proud and raised to side 1.


Inner: EX-. It is the ORIGINAL "Use Emitex"
NO writing.
NO splits
Only some very light age discolouration-that is it!
Certainly done her job in keeping the record in great condition!

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER
( These were produced at roughly a ratio of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
 There is a small amount of wear to this cover, BUT with very few  spidering areas to the laminate just a few fingers of spidering emanating from the seams..
There is some rubbing to the corners and edges, with the flipbacks being in great shape, but the bottom flipback has been lifted-right where the EJ Day text would be-still managed to keep the integrity of the sleeve in fine condition.
Easy to tell it is a EJ Day cover, as the top corner flipback has an angular edge.
STRONG INTACT & LEGIBLE SPINE
RARE and in great, solid shape!
