This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

QUALITY 164g...WOW-VERY HEAVY!!!
VG. Nice, heavy vinyl, with light marks to her.
*CERTAINLY NO SKIPS OR JUMPS*
I have just finished listening to all of her (LOUD) and found only some very light and very occasional background noise. She has a superb rich deep bass reproduction, with clear and high peaks too!! She played better than the light marks to her would warrant-SUPERB!
A gentle professional clean, I am sure she will  UPGRADE FURTHER!

Really rather rare "ZKT" tax code to side 1!
Unusual as the "ZT" tax code was only used from the 10th of April 1962 to the 26th of November 1962, where it was then replaced by the "PT" tax code, followed by the "MT" tax code, before finally turning into the well know "KT" tax code on the 1st of July 1963...So it is strange to have a mix of the ZT tax with the KT tax codes....
I HAVE NOT SEEN A PLEASE PLEASE ME PRESSING WITH THIS CODE FOR A LONG TIME
There's a minimal amount of central hole wear as seen in the pictures-barely any. The labels stand out wonderfully clean, with no writing or rips. There are quite a few light spindle marks evident when angled towards the light-but nothing terrible and would not affect the joy of framing her.
 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.

In great condition.
Only carries light creasing and light discolouration.
Has the unusual text:

Certainly done her job in keeping the record in great condition!

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER
( These were produced at roughly a ratio of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
 There is some wear to this cover...
A few fingers of spidering eminating from the seams..
There is some rubbing and light knocking to the corners, but again, nothing bad at all.
The EJ Day flipbacks have some wear-as can be seen in the photos...They were taped at the back, at some stage, leaving tape residue. However, they remain strong, with just one tiny opening to the bottom-not bad at all.
