172g!!
This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker, New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.
Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

QUALITY 172g...WOW-VERY HEAVY!!!
VG+!! Nice, heavy vinyl, with only light marks to her.
*NO SKIPS OR JUMPS*
I have just finished listening to all of her (LOUD) and found some light occasional background noise BUT also a superb rich deep bass reproduction.
A gentle professional clean, I am sure will get rid of the small amount of background noise and UPGRADE FURTHER!

Labels: VG+. There's a minimal amount of central hole wear as seen in the pictures. Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips.
Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.
NO WRITING
"KT" tax code proud and raised to side 1.
Inner: VG-. ORIGINAL "USE EMITEX" tracing paper lined inner. Just carries some light feathering to the opening and a split to the bottom.
ALL ORIGINAL and certainly doen her job by keeping this vinyl in super condition over all these years.

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER
( These were produced at roughly a ratio of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
There some wear to this cover, with a few small spidering areas to the laminate and some fingers of spidering eminating from the seams..
The only other point to mention is some rubbing to the corners (more evident at the top and bottom of the spine-where they have been well rubbed) as well as the bottom right corner being split by 5cm, but not terrible at all.

A genuine 1st printing Ernest J Day cover with the Angus McBean in the lower right corner on the front.
The angular flipbacks are in good condition, with small bit of lifting to the top right back flipback.
The back card has light discolouration.
