3 78 rpm 12" Radio Discs / transcriptions for the 1939 1/2 hr radio show ( 29-ish minutes) The Tommy Dorsey Raleigh-Kool Program w/ Paul Stewart MC w/ vocalists Jack Leonard & Edythe Wright w/ Guest Stars Jack Benny, Dick Powell, Bing Crosby, Shirley Ross & Ken Murray When I searched the Raleigh-Kool Program with Tommy Dorsey it highlighted this particular show & they wrote in quotes below- "A very notable broadcast in 1939 had Dick Powell on cornet, Bing Crosby on the drums, Ken Murray on the clarinet & Jack Benny on the violin." Their description left out Shirley Ross on piano who actually played "Thanks for the Memories" quite brilliantly on the show. Of course they are also (if you'll excuse the Yiddish) Kibbitzing & doing Comedy/Schtick
Condition: VG (vjm grade) V+ side 1 has a number of white specks caught in the grooves & little cloudy areas from my attempts to clean them out but still plays V+ Sleeves: Generic
Besides the Comedy Amateur Music Contest sketch's/theme (they all play together at the end) Tommy Dorsey's band is awarded The Metronome Music Award for "Best All Round Band" & TD & his Orchestra play- "My Walking Stick" - Edythe Wright vocals "Isn't it Wonderful Isn't it Swell" Jack Leonard Vocals & an abbreviated instrumental version of "I Know that You Know"

N-:Nearly New, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage.
E+:Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny
scuffs from being slipped in and out of sleeves.
E : Excellent. Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
E-:Still shiny but without the luster of a new record, few light scratches.
V+ :is an average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled
the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from
distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.
V : Very Good Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.
V- :Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.
G+: Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.
G : Good Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.
G- ; F ; and P The VJM system has these designations for records in extremely poor condition.
