Description
"Boston Symphony Ochestra" radio show transcription discs recorded by Muzak Transcriptions Incorporated. One 50 minute radio program on these two 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm discs. These discs were recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare. "This disc for broadcasting purposes only" printed on labels.
"Boston Symphony Orchestra" radio program from February 2, 1946 featuring The Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Adrian Boult performing "The Planets" by Gustav Holst.
There is no opening announcement for the program. There are introductions of the movements of the symphony by the announcer. There is applause at end and a closing announcement by the announcer
Discs are in Excellent Condition with Excellent Sound, beautiful discs.
Please note that most standard turntables will not play 16 inch discs due to their size. For $10 I can make a CD copy of both discs for the buyer only
