Copyright 1947 by Edgar Bergen Audience Records, Inc. NY Distributed by Monitor Records under the title Top Ten records, this is #3 of the series which were recorded in front of a live audience. A new thing back then. There are four double-sided 10" record albums in this set of Edgar Bergen featuring Charlie and Mortimer, his famous side-kicks. The three of them appear in 8 different comedy sketches:
Ventriloquism Exposed A Lesson In Life Saving Underwear by Mail Order Glass Blowing Little Red Riding Hood The Grammar Lesson The Bakery Man The Three Little Pigs 1 skit on each side
I have taken photos of all 8 sides and they appear to be in very good condition. There are no cracks and I cannot see any major flaws at all. I have not played them but I'd love to. I am selling these for someone else, though, and can't take any chances. The outer spine has a torn area as shown in the photo. Inside, all graphics and sleeves and in really great vintage condition. This set does not come up for auction often, as far as I can tell; the last auction for this album set that I can find was in 2011. The starting bid is considerably lower than that auction. I'm listing this with no returns due to the nature of the item and the fact that it is exactly as described. If damaged during shipping, that is an entirely separate matter, of course.
