Description
Two Radio Transcription Discs containing 3 Complete Radio Broadcasts produced by The Salvation Army in 1950. Programs were meant to be broadcast on or around the Christmas holiday
One 30 minute radio program and two 15 minute radio programs on these two 16 inch, red vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs. These discs were issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!
"An Army Of Stars Salutes The Salvation Army At Christmas 1950" featuring many great opera singers with The Army Of Stars Orchestra directed by Karl Kirtz & Henry Zimmerman. Songs include "Ave Maria" by Lily Pons, "Cantique De Noel" (O Holy Night) by Robert Weede, "Un Bel Di" (One Fine Day) by Reneta Tibaldi, "Star Of The East" by James Schwabacher. Jean Hersholt reads "The Story Of The Advent Of Jesus Christ". 30 minutes

Discs are in Excellent- condition with Excellent Sound, beautiful discs
