Description
I am currently adding records weekly from my own extensive vintage modern jazz collection, see my ebay store for a great selection already with more added as often as I can, sometimes daily. 1951 Esquire ED1 Miles Davis Plays =1st UK Press Prestige of The New Sound. It's his first proper leaders full session for Prestige, having been on tracks on the compilations before this 10". A pair of Quintets with Art Blakey, Walter Bishop, either Jackie Maclean or Sonny Rollins (on different tracks) and Tommy Potter. So hard to lay hands on modern jazz from this far back. Can definitely say, having handled probably well more than a million jazz lps in my lifetime, this is the earliest Miles Davis lp I have ever held. Envelope stitched sleeve is intact, seam all holding strong, wear to the flap in the centre, but no pen, a few fine marks to the vinyl, but plays through without skips, with some surface whoosh when the drums are quieter. Very good record in a very good sleeve, playing very good plus on my ortofon mono. There will be no 1951 lps that play silent surfaced (every one I have heard played like a slow 78), but no skips or major issues. Now residing in its own antistatic inner plus the tissue paper packet and behind the card and cotton sleeve in a clear ten inch outer, as shown in last pic. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
