Description
For auction is a vintage, 10" jazz record by Blue Note--BLP 5038. The record is of a live performance by the Art Blakey Quintet on February 21, 1954 at Birdland in New York City. This is Volume 2 of the 2 record release by Blue Note---A Night at Birdland with the Art Blakey Quintet. The musicians are Art Blakey on drums, Clifford Brown on trumpet, Lou Donaldson on alto sax, Horace Silver on piano and Curly Russell on bass. I have no turntable to play the record but the visual grade I would give it is a VG+. The label has the Lexington Ave. address and the dead wax is etched 9M along with the ear mark. The number in the dead wax is BN-LP-5038-A and B.
The sleeve is heavily water stained with some surface damage. This is along the spine and to about 1" into the left side of the front cover and the right side on the back. There are no splits in the sleeve. I would grade the sleeve as G to G-.
