Description
1st issue of the 1954 Mozart Cosi Fan Tutte featuring Schwarzkopf and the Philharmonia under Karajan. I might look at thousands of LP's every month to compile these fortnightly lists for you good folks, and when I see an early fifties box like this I always know the records will be scratched, due to age and the fine performance within, but this was that noteable exception, a very clean example with the two plays it has had (after hearing it when bought?)noted in the box lid as being in 1968 & 1970. A genuine unmarked pristine Near Mint 1st press of a 54 year old recording of a great account of a Da Ponte Mozart.
Condition to this is Near Mint to every side, with Mint minus box and booklet, no marks of any nature to labels or playing surfaces.
This week a 60's stereo, TAS Listed Audiophile and a great chamber music selection. They are all well worth a look and a bid, same low start no reserve on everything regardless of value.
