rare 1954 10 inch Jazz lp, BLUE NOTE # 5038. Art Blakey Quintet-A Night At Birdland Vol 2. this is the very first pressing, it was later released in a 12 inch format. side 1 has lots of light marks, would grade VG but has a 3/8" long deep scratch at the beginning that causes a loud click each time the needle passes over it. also has a few clicks at the beginning of cut 2 on this side. otherwise plays nice with light surface noise. side 1 grades VG- because of the scratch at the beginning otherwise would grade VG. side 2 has lots of gloss with many light marks(none feelable). grades VG and plays nice with light surface noise. jacket has light to moderate general wear. has clear tape on all 3 edges and light rubbing along the opening edge. front image is nice. back cover has tape residue on 2 edges and light soiling. jacket grades VG. labels have lots of spindle marks on both sides.
