Description
1955 Don Rendell Sextet, Ken Moule Septet and Tony Crombie with Dizzy Reece on Modern Jazz at the Royal Festival Hall. First Decca pressing, red and gold ffrr labels, curved cut fully laminated sleeve. Ought to be considered one of the rarest of British modern jazz lps, given how early it is and who is on it. I have another copy that I paid a lot more for, and will not be parting with any time soon. This one has scuffs and the sleeve is a bit worn, but so is everyone from 1955 by now!. Best results with a mono cartridge, but no skips anyway and the record is flat. This has been cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid, has a new antistatic inner added and all resides, separated to prevent splits, in a heavy gauge new poly outer awaiting our careful packing in custom made hard card boxes.
