Description

For your consideration is this rare and exceptional 78 rpm record produced by the Houston, Texas, blues singer Lightnin' Hopkins on the Herald label in 1959. The a) side is Let's Move and the b) side is I'm Achin'. Visually the record grades to at least a C9:N- condition - it could not be brighter and shinier, and there is absolutely no evidence that the record has ever been spindled.
Note: I recently acquired a small collection of mostly R&B 78's from the late 1950's, almost all of which are in C8:E+ or better condition. The seller could not explain why they are in such exceptional condition, just that they were in her family, but I suspect that the family upgraded to a 45 rpm record player right when these records were purchased, and thus they never got played.
