One of a nice collection of Classical rarities we have just had in, a single cherished and many unplayed lps.
1960 UK Decca Wide Band Grooved Original Recording By labels SXL 2117-20 wide band grooved ED1 MOZART Don Giovanni from Krips & the VPO.
1st edition Mozart Don Giovanni, from when hardly anybody had a stereo, and this box cost a workmans weeks wage.

Records in Near Mint condition, no feelable marks and very clean playing surfaces, a faint small superficial hairline of a sleeve scuff seen under a bright light did not sound. Gold lettered leatherette box is Excellent. No splits or creases, no pen or other dirt. Labels are clean as seen in pics. Original FFSS inners excellent, the little sign of wear to this suggesting as do the lack of many spindle trails that this has not been played much in its 57 year life. A highly regarded top collectable SXL. in an earliest type pressing, with nice low stampers.
Heard throughout, this played near mint with the minimum amount of pops without even being cleaned.
