1966 Stereo Japanese Toshiba issue of Walter Gieseking in the 3 famous named Beethoven Sonatas: Pathétique Moonlight Appassionata. This is in the red ever clean vinyl that started in 1958 by the label, and has the picture ad inner. The latest issued lp I could find on the inner sleeve was the Klemperer Missa Solemnis of 1966, and that suits the window of likelihood that i had that this looked to be from between 1962 and 1966. The tapes were made in 1956, the year of Gieseking's passing, and I am fairly sure this is the first country (and this actual lp) to issue these three in their first stereo incarnation as the 3 sonatas together. I.E. There is no UK equivalent before this. The record is near mint low plays appearance surfaces and labels and fully near mint sound. The inner sleeve is also near mint, the outer has rubs to the spine in the section where there is no text, so all the info is readable and present, there is no pen or dirt or bends to the textured sleeve with 1st type pasted on frame rear. Soundstage was always narrow to the 50s stereo masters of this, but it is in pleasing valve recorded sound, pretty good for the year. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
