We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. ORIGINAL 1967 FIRST pressing in glorious MONO on the highly collected steamboat Reprise label of the sixties... the rare MONO issue comtains different somg mixes from the stereo release and also has the bold deep punchy production you only get with the mono format

includes the original printed STEAMBOAT era inner sleeve to the pressing ...

This somewhat mysterious collection of L.A. players issued several albums in the late '60s that plugged into the era's psychedelic-rock scene, freakouts, and trippy lyrics without establishing a solid identity of their own. They cut a fair number of great tracks, moving without rhyme or reason from straightforward Byrds and Kinks edges to self-absorbed psychedelic pop grooves to self-conscious exercises in hippy outrageousness (including, of all things, a cover of the Mothers' "Help I'm a Rock"). The best of their output holds up extremely well.

With their impressive light show, the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band became popular around Los Angeles and were signed by Reprise Records. Their first "proper" album, "Part One", ranged from anthemic psychedelia tunes and catchy, trippy laced ballads, on to harder-edged psychedelic numbers. It reflected the tensions between the band’s musicians and Markley, who effectively controlled the band’s output but who was regarded by the others as musically untalented. Markley contributed rambling psychedelic lyrics and spoken sections, and the album also included ill-assorted inputs from nominal co-producer Jimmy Bowen, songwriters Baker Knight and P.F. Sloan, drummer Hal Blaine and pianist Van Dyke Parks. Disputes between Markley and Michael Lloyd also led to the inclusion of guitarist Ron Morgan, who over time became a fully fledged member of the band.

CONDITION: The cover: is very solid all over...clean front & back, VG++ and better, downgraded a bit as the far right top corner seam and spine have been repaired from split...and is really the only minor 'thing' ... otherwise very nice and colorful front and back and CLEAN ... much better than the usual 'rare find' copy ... overall collectible look... 

The vinyl: both sides are glossy, random light (soft) hair scuffs, nothing deep, visually looks VG+ BUT plays, aside from just a few places of light ticks, plays in strong excellent audio zones most all of the time (most all you hear is the pure clean music), = was all enjoyable by playgrade here... Both MONO steamboat Reprise labels are clean
