The High Windows
was an Israeli pop-rock band formed in late 1966 by Arik Einstein, Shmulik Kraus and Josie Katz. The trio recorded one self-titled album which is certified platinum in Israel. They broke up in 1968 but reformed in 1973 with Eli Magen replacing Einstein. They toured and recorded three songs in the studio before disbanding again in 1974. A 40th anniversary edition of the original album included a bonus CD with 14 previously unreleased tracks. In 2008 their album was selected as the most important of the '60s by the daily newspaper Yediot Ahranot.
