Description
Up for grabs is a classic 1969 US original pressing of Contrasts by Blonde On Blonde on Janus Records (catalog # JLS-3003). This Welsh psychedelic/prog rock gem features their unique blend of folk-psych, heavy guitar, and atmospheric vibes – a cult favorite from the late-60s scene.
The striking cover shows a close-up of long blonde hair on the front, with a bold, sensual back cover featuring a spider tattoo on a woman's back (very period-psychedelic and eye-catching – great for display!).
Tracklist (from labels):
Side 1:
Ride With Captain Max
Spinning Wheel
No Sleep Blues
Goodbye
I Need My Friend
Mother Earth
Side 2:
Eleanor Rigby (Lennon-McCartney cover)
Conversationally Making the Grade
Regency
Island on an Island
Don't Be Too Long
Jeannette Isabella
Produced by Barry Murray, with killer guitar work, flute, and that dreamy-yet-edgy psych sound. Standouts include their take on "Eleanor Rigby" and originals like "Ride With Captain Max" and "Mother Earth."
All albums I have listed are from the estate of one professional man. All of them were purchased new, many with cellophane still on them. The vinyl itself is beautiful on each album. If you have any questions, or would like some better pictures of the vinyl, feel free to contact me.
If you wish to make an offer, please do so. I will consider any reasonable offer.
