Vinyl still has a good sheen and overall plays through with strong audio and production.. There is some surface wear and faint scuffs causing some background and clicks in places and a small amount of quick skis on side B.. It’s a heavyweight early press vinyl though so the surface wear is not feel able there is just some lessening in sound quality in places. There is however excellent audio in between the imperfections. Labels are clean and complete with no stickers or writing and light spindle wear to the centres. Poly bag inner but new inner sleeve will be provided also. Outer sleeve has no writing and is sturdy card and lightly textured. There is a thin seam split to the spine a couple of inches long not taped and otherwise it’s in pretty solid shape with light age related wear and some surface marks.

General U.K. record collector grading of..

Vinyl: VG - / VG

Sleeve: VG -

Labels: EX +

Not a minter but not a dog either and still plenty of life and enjoyment left in this one and a rare pressing all the same.

2: THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON 1973 Harvest SHVL 804 Stereo No posters

Matrix A: SHVL 804 A - 6

Matrix B: SHVL 804 B - 4

Vinyl still has a good sheen and plays through with no skips, sticks or jumps and excellent audio / production throughout including no skips on Money which was a common pressing fault. There is a warp to this one which doesn’t catch on the deck nor detract from any playback but however can be downgraded accordingly. Visually the vinyl is pretty good with light hairlines and light surface under the lamp nothing feel able and although as stated it has a warp audio is strong throughout. Labels are clean and complete with no stickers or writing and minimal spindle wear to the centres. Plain white inner sleeve. Outer gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve has no splits or writing and there is lyrics on the inner gatefold. Small number sticker to the rear. There is age related storage wear to the sleeve and light marks in places. Please study the photos as the records you see are the ones you shall receive.

All records are properly play tested through headphones unless otherwise stated or still sealed.. All vinyl is also inspected under a bright halogen lamp and carefully graded.. I use the standard U.K. record collector grading system appreciating that opinions differ.. I never add more than one + or - to my gradings and never grade a record as M unless it’s bought new by myself and still sealed. Even then an M graded record is extremely rare in anyone’s grading system.

…
