Here are TWO cool ORIGINAL albums from my collection offered up for sale: Two iconic and ground-breaking albums from 1967, these are first pressings, RARE 48 year old relics that have been well loved but are still play worthy originals!
FIRST: a vintage original 1967 pressing of The Beatles classic release "SGT Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band", this album has the MONO sound mix, different than the more common Stereo version! Released in 1967 by Capitol Records MAS-2653 (mono), has the gatefold cover and rainbow colorband labels. (No longer has the Pepper insert or custom printed inner sleeve) The heavy vintage record grades VG, is clean and glossy, has many light marks and sleeve marks, has a few more moderate marks, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish without skips or jumps, clear sound with light surface noise in quiet spots and between tracks, a few errant pops, still a play-worthy original! The labels have a pen signature. The gatefold jacket rates VG, color is vibrant inside and out, is clean, no signatures or writing, top and bottom seams have been neatly repaired with clear tape, binder edge readable, front has sticker shadow, inside gatefold bright and clean, the rear cover has light ringwear but most all the song lyrics are still readable!
PLUS: a vintage original 1967 pressing of The Jimi Hendrix Experience album "Are You Experienced", released in 1967 on Reprise Records RS-6261Stereo, has the "tri-tone" Reprise labels! This is the legendary Jimi Hendrix's debut album featuring his self-penned classics "Purple Haze", "Manic Depression", "The Wind Cries Mary", "Foxy Lady" and more! The heavy vintage record grades VG, is clean and glossy, has many light marks and sleeve marks, has a few small more moderate marks, has a slight warp that does not effect play, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish without skips or jumps, with clear sound, light surface noise can be heard in quiet spots and between tracks, a few errant pops, still a play-worthy original! The vintage cover rates VG, has great color portrait of band with only light ringwear, bottom opening has been neatly repaired with clear tape tape, binder edge is still readable, has some water marks at bottom (no musty smells), no signatures or writing, clean portrait of band on front!
