Description
This two-record set is a 2003 re-issue on Deaf Ear Records of four songs recorded by the punk rock “band” Helen Keller in 1978. One of the seven-inch records is a thirty-three and a third rpm with two songs on the A side (Dump on the Chump and Surfin’ (with Steve and Idi Amin) and one song on the B side (Dump on the Chump: Reprise)). The second record is a 45-rpm with Rats! (with cocks this long) on the A side and Mein Death Kampf Shuffle on the B side. It also contains liner notes by Ryan Richardson. Helen Keller was the brainchild of Norman Durkee of Seattle who died in January of 2014. These songs have been called the earliest examples of punk rock. These two records are in excellent shape.
