Description
Beggars Banquet Decca SKL 4955 UK LP, stereo and is a later 'boxed logo' pressing of the 1968 original for which the Decca inner sleeve is dated 4-70.
The clean and tidy stereo gatefold sleeve is in fine strong shape with no seam splits, tears or writing plus the spine is ok if a bit grubby and crinkly. Overall there is some minor creasing and edge rubbing so for condition I rate it 7.5 /10.
At 129g the flat and shiny vinyl has a nice weight. Matrices are XZAL-8476-3K and XZAL-8477-3K for Sides 1 & 2 respectively. Spindle spider traces at the hole of the clean labels show the disc has had several+ spins yet the disc has been well cared for. In room daylight at the window it looks very clean yet under the evil and unforgiving table lamp I see a few faint scuffs and hairlines so I'm giving the disc 8 /10 for condition.
And the aforementioned Decca blue and white stereo polythene-lined inner sleeve is all good except to report some mild creasing and paint rub but it can be forgiven that.
1971 Sticky Fingers Rolling Stones COC 59100 UK LP, 'small' zip sleeve with insert. The sleeve is pretty solid as pictured with a working zip and intact belt tab. Only blemishes to report are minor edge rubs, creasing and a few small dings so overall I give the sleeve 8 /10.
The insert is very clean thank you.
This time the disc which is also flat and shiny weighs in at 122g and with signs at the spindle hole of a handful of plays only. Matrices are COC 59100 A3 and COC 59100 B3. Very similar condition to that above so another 8 /10.
And I guess the die-cut paper inner sleeve is original.
