Description

3 record vinyl box set in the Soria Series for the RCA Victor label commemorating the Heifetz- Piatigorsky concerts 
at the Pilgrimage Theatre, Hollywood, California in August 1961. Musicians include Jascha Heifetz, 
Gregor Piatigorsky, William Primrose and Leonard Pennario. and the programme is Mendelssohn's
Octet in E flat major; Mozart's Quintet in G minor; Franck's Quintet in F minor; Brahms' Sextet in G major 
and Schubert's Quintet in C major. Records are accompanied by a 20 page booklet with details of the
concert, the musicians and the pieces. The 3 records - LDS 6159 -1/2/3 - appear to have never been played; 
the original sleeves are as new; the booklet is unmarked and the outer box has got a few scuff marks 
but the cover design is bright and clear. I do not have the facilities to play vinyl so I cannot speak for the 
sound quality.
