Description

4 Cisco Kid Episodes 1950s ~ Rare 16" Transcription OTR Radio Ziv
The voice of MEL BLANC playing Pancho on two of the epiodes.
There are a total of 4 full Cisco Kid episodes represented on the 4 discs with each episode recorded as two "sides" (part 1 on one side of a disc and part two on one side of a second disc).
The discs play at 33 1/3 rpm.
Produced and distributed by the Frederic W. Ziv Co. and originally broadcast in the early 1950s.
Episodes 161/162 looks to be from 1950.  693/694 is a few years later.  693/694 is from the time period where Mel Blanc is doing the voice of Pancho.  It sounds like Mel Blanc may have done another voice or two on episode 693 and/or 694.

  • Program 161 and 162 – The Phantom Bandits and Cisco Takes the Trail
  • Program 693 and 694 – The Road to Murder and Knives of Death
NOTE!!!!!!!:  These are vintage and authentic 16" transcription discs sent to radio stations in the 1950s around the U.S. to be played over the air as episodes of the classic Cisco Kid syndicated radio show.  It is likely very few of these records ever existed and far fewer still exist.  While they are highly collectible, the discs cannot be played on an ordinary 33 rpm turntable meant for 12" discs (the distance between the tone arm attachment and the platter center hole is usually not great enough to handle a 16" record).
I have listened to all four of these discs and they play and sound fabulous.  Just a little dusty.
I CURRENTLY ALSO HAVE A GROUP OF OTR CISCO KID SINGLE DISCS FOR SALE FROM THE SAME ERA.  That record group represents "orphaned" discs where I only have one half of each of the episodes.
Quick to ship.  Shipping will be by USPS, Fedex, or UPS.
