Description
You are bidding on a fantastic collection of 4, early Fleetwood Mac vinyl LP's from the years 1972 to 1974. All four of these early Fleetwood Mac album feature Bob Welch, a phenomenal musician and song writer. I am the original owner of most of these records and the records have always been stored vertically in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The descriptions below are shown in the order of release of the albums. I no longer have a record player to test the records so a general description for each record is listed below.
Bare Trees--This album was released in 1972, the catalog number is MSK 2278 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front of the jacket is in good condition with light “record shadow” lines at the top and bottom. The back of the jacket has some smudge marks along the bottom. The inner sleeve is plain paper and appears to be original. A blemish was noted on track 5 of Side 1, nothing was noted on Side 2. The matrix/runout numbers are "MSK-1-12278 JW2 #3" and "MSK-2-12278 JW4 #3." The "JW" on sides 1 and 2 indicates that this record was made at the Jacksonville, IL record plant.
Penguin--This album was released in 1973, the catalog number is MS 2138 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front and back of the jacket are in good condition with light “record shadow” lines at the top and bottom. The interior gatefold is in Mint condition. This album is a cut-out copy with a notch in the upper left corner. The inner sleeve is plain paper and appears to be original. No blemishes were noted on either side and the condition is estimated at VG+. The matrix/runout numbers are "T/1 MS-1-2138 31566-1 Sterling (stamped) and "T/1 MS-2138 31567-1 Sterling (stamped)." This record appears to be made of thicker/heavier vinyl than normal records.
Mystery To Me--This album was released in 1973, the catalog number is MS 2279 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front and back of the jacket are both in NM condition with only light “record shadow” lines at the top. The interior gatefold is in NM condition. The lyrics are included on both sides of a heavy cardboard insert which is in NM condition. This lyric sheet has a rare song misprint error. The fifth song on Side 2 of the lyric card lists a song by the title of "Good Things (Come To Those That Wait)" by Bob Welch. This song was cut prior to the release and this song never made it onto the actual album. The inner sleeve does not appear to be original but is a high quality, plastic-lined sleeve. Both sides of the record appear to be in Very Good+ condition with only slight blemishes noted. The matrix/runout numbers are "MSK-1-2279 MCA NY-2" and "MSK-2-2279-MCA NY-1."
Heroes Are Hard To Find--This album was released in 1974, the catalog number is MS 2196 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front of the jacket is in very good condition with a light record "shadow mark" at the top. The back of the jacket is in very good condition with two minor dents noted. There is wear on the top and bottom edges. The inner sleeve is plain paper, in good condition and appears to be original. The record appears to be in VG+ condition (minor blemishes). The matrix/runout numbers are "MS1-2196-JW2 #1" and "Side 2 MS-2196 31764-1 #1 SUB." The "JW" on side 1 indicates that this record was made at the Jacksonville, IL record plant.
