COVER JACKET: Cover has some edge wear, but cover made of hard paper holds very good. Sleeves for records hold very good. Detailed info on inside box cover. VG for 60+ years old!
VINYL: shellac all used and little bit WARPED at end but no effect on play.
SOUND: I played each record. They all play solid, background noise is not so present! Voice and orchestra dominate the sound if recorded louder, but quiet parts have some sh sound heard! If cleaned better should produce better sound and prevent skips. OVERALL SOLID PLAY for 78 rpm standard - VERY NICE! VG+ with few minor skips [side 3] due to moving dust, could be cleaned better!

ARTIST: ARTURO TOSCANINI - [March 25, 1867 – January 16, 1957) was an Italian conductor. He was one of the most acclaimed musicians of the late 19th and 20th century, renowned for his intensity, his perfectionism, his ear for orchestral detail and sonority, and his photographic memory. He was at various times the music director of La Scala Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Later in his career he was appointed the first music director of the NBC Symphony Orchestra (1937–54), and this led to his becoming a household name (especially in the United States) through his radio and television broadcasts and many recordings of the operatic and symphonic repertoire.CONDITON – This is an old, used and heavy item! Please read item description for details. THIS WAS the 1st form of ALBUMS EVER! Produced mainly in 1940's until 1950, they had 4 singles with 2 songs each on 78 rpm, for TOTAL of 8 SONGS, which in early 50's turned into a 10-inch album with 8 songs on 33 rpm.
