Description
The records need cleaned. Beethoven - Symphony No. 7 in A Major (Opus 92) Arturo Toscanini and the Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra of New York Victor Musical Masterpiece RCA/Victor The book is in excellent condition with one tear at top of one of the inner sleeves - binding stable, hinges stable - loosening of cloth on small section of top spine.
There are five 12" 78 rpm records in the original book. The records are the AM series (see below); Victor - AM 317 14102/6 Some of the records have light scuffs, there are some light surface lines, all the records are glossy with some minimal smoothing - there are no chips, cracks, etc - this is a nice set - all records at very least VG/VG+. This title is usually found in the more common DM sequence (with green book and record numbers 16732/6). Sorry, I don't ship outside the USA.
The "AM" series of albums was made in the "slide-automatic sequence" for the throw off type of record changer. The slide sequence was:

Record 1, Sides 1 and 5
Record 2, Sides 2 and 6
Record 3, Sides 3 and 7
Record 4, Sides 4 and 8The user put the stack on the changer and started it. When the first stack was through, the user turned the entire record stack over and placed it back on the changer, and the album was completed in order. The record sides are arranged as they are because the throw off changer reverses the order of the records as it goes through the stack. The Capehart Turnover changer also played this album in correct sequence with the alternating guide de-activated, but it did not stop in the middle of the album. The Fisher Lincoln and the Thorens TD-224 were also slide-automatic-sequence record changers because they reversed the stack as they went through it.
It is also interesting that a few albums were made in slide-automatic sequence during periods when no slide-automatic record changers were being made. Sorry, I don't ship outside the USA.
