Description

 Up for auction is a lot of 5 16" Radio Transcription Records.
All four are from THE METROPOLITAN OPERA in New York, NY and its performance of  Verdi's "La Traviata"

This performance was presumed to be broadcasted on radio as presumably part of The Metropolitan Opera Series Radio Broadcast showcasing live performances that was (and still is) syndicated.

This is an acetate "dub" stated from the performance of "La Traviata" stated and dated as "Original Recording 12/1/46"
This opera is stated as complete in 5 parts on 5 transcription record discs.
The tops of the labels are missing, but the label on bottom of acetates do state "International Broadcasting Division", which may give some a clue as to who pressed this.

I don't have access to a proper player for these currently.
Acetates are graded somewhat differently. These are thankfully not flaky like many acetates of this vintage, but they do show some wear and a kind of dull/wax-like finish/buildup to them.
Some of the discs show some mostly light to mild scuffing and surface marks/scratches and dust from the sleeve/storage.

This lot will weigh around 6 lbs. with proper packing material.
