Description
This early two track 7" single is one of only 2000 units ever produced & is extremely collectable. It has never been played although it has been taken out of it's sleeve to ensure there are no scratches.
Tracklisting is as follows:
a) Fake Tales of San Fancisco
b) From the Ritz to the Rubble.
'Fake Tales Of San Francisco' featuring a riff so simple yet so addictive it hurts, is three minutes of the Monkeys doing what they do best, namely offering sharp but funny social commentary in a South Yorkshire patois over bursts of punky, poppy, sometimes ska inflected, guitar. 'From The Ritz To The Rubble' describing encounters between overzealous bouncers and inebriated clubbers, starts slowly with a spoken introduction but ends frantically with overdriven guitars all over the shop. It's the nearest you can get to their live show without actually being there. Music by Arctic Monkeys, lyrics by Alex Turner. Produced, engineered and mixed by Mike Crossey assisted by Jamie Lewis at the Motor Museum, Liverpool. Mastered by John Davis at Alchemy. Photograph Andy Brown.
