Description
This is a 7" reel of tape by Scotch (3M) from my collection. The library box, spool and tape are all in truely excellent condition. It's about 1000 feet long by ¼" wide. It's good quality tape with tape leaders at both ends, and should be great for recording anything you want.
The tape has been recorded on, it isn't blank. At the moment it has superbly recorded music by a man that has been making records since he was 17 years old. His first album, 'Tubular Bells', released in 1973, helped to make Richard Branson a millionaire, eventually selling the Virgin Music Group to Thorn/EMI in 1992 in a $1 billion deal. Released about 10 years ago 'Voyager' has a very celtic sound, but there's no doubting that it's a typical Mike Oldfield album.
You can see that there is a tracklisting on the library box, which is there for the sole pupose of identifying this reel in my collection. It may appear professionally produced and something that might be bought in a shop, but you can't. It was made for me and my personal enjoyment.
These tracks are not on a commercially made or a commercially available reel of tape. You can record over it, but in this form, what's on it might be unique.
Now I'm offering the tape but I know Ebayers get interested in the recordings on my tapes. As that might be construed as an attempt to sell the recordings on the tape instead of just the tape itself, I will invite the curious to email me for a detailed listing. Which you can do using this link:
