Here is a super rare disc of the great tachelhit berber folk singer Boubaker Inchaden from the Atlas mountains of the south-west part of Morocco. There is rabab and gunbri, it kind of sounds like a bass guinbri or hajhouj maybe. The rabab is more in the background, leaving the guinbri and vocals in the forefront and the occasional background chanting of a few other singers. Really beautiful and serene desert music, don’t miss it.
Record is VG+, there is slight background noise that is constant but does not detract from the music, and the overall quality of the disc is very good. There are some surface marks and a couple light scratches but only on the surface, they do not affect playback. Labels are EX, label B has a small water drop mark. Guinbri and vocals sound great in this recording!
