Description
This is a classic “Risque Burlesque Style Novelty” 78 RPM Record, probably from the 1950’s.
This is on the “Gala” label. The artist is comedian Dwight Fiske. Titles are “Uncle Tom’s Cabana” and “The Happy Couple”.
These offerings feature Dwight playing piano and performing on both sides.
Even by today's standards, this record is what could be called "racy". It is intended only for adult purchasers.
The record itself is in VG+ or better condition. However, it does have a linear crack running for about 3 inches on the “Uncle” side. This crack is only partly visible on the “Couple” side. I play tested a portion of the "Uncle" side and heard many "tics" as the record turned. They stopped when the record got beyond the crack about 1/3 of the way thru. There was also some BG noise.
