EXCELLENT (E): Shows only slight wear, playing surfaces still retain much of their original shine. Surface noise is minimal.
VERY GOOD (VG): Can have slight grayness appearing in the grooves. Still a fairly clean and acceptable copy. Surface noise may be noticeable, but does not overwhelom the music.
GOOD (G): Not so good. Shows considerable wear and usage, grayness, mars and abrasions. Surface noise is enough to impair enjoyment.
FAIR OR POOR (F OR P): Only the rarest are considered. Mostly fit for the garbage can.
