78 rpm jazz, hot dance band, personality from the 1920s-30s big band era
Royal Roost 613- Mae Questel- sings Baby Brother/ Ting-alingle-Jingle. Record is in E+ condition with a few scuffs, grey as is typical of the records of the 1950s, but plays superbly as these records were very well recorded and well pressed...Mae Questel the voice of Betty Boop, Olive Oyl, even Popeye and countless others in Max Fleischer cartoons of the 1930s, and on for decades, in one of her rarest 78s. This oddity was issued on the jazz be bop label Royal Roost which usually featured some of the best jazz of the 1940s and 50s These two songs are probably meant more for a kids market as Mae sings somewhat like Betty Boop...I have never seen or heard of another copy of this one by the performer who starred on film with the likes of Rudy Vallee up to Woody Allen...
They are play graded on a modern turntable using a new Stanton 2.7 mil stylus. I have been collecting, buying, selling, packing and shipping for decades so have experience in all of these aspects, so please feel free to bid with confidence!
