Description
Highly collectable 78rpm 10” shellac disc released in 1926 featuring the Savoy Havana Band. HMV label B5027.
Masculine women and feminine men: Visually EX- with a good shine a just a few minor marks. On a test play, the first minute of the track sounds just slightly fuzzy; it’s not distorted, it’s an unusual quality I’ve not come across before - a bit like when there's a little fluff on the stylus, but it's not too distracting. The rest of this track plays through fine with just the usual surface noise for a shellac disk of this age.
Picador: EX- with a good shine and just a few light markings. Plays through well.
Labels are clean with no writing.
Supplied in robust stitched card sleeve branded “Landau’s” in good condition, just some wear noticeable along the top edge (see images).
NOTE: Test played on specialist hi-fi equipment with light weight pick-up, not steel needle.
