Description
A Hard Day's Night by the Beatles.
UK mono first pressing to the best of my knowledge.
PMC 1230
XEX 481 3N/XEX 482 3N
Firstly, the record:
Visually superb. Both labels are clean & unmarked without dreadful spindle wear. A couple of light marks on side A but nothing upsetting. Looks like it's not been played too much & generally looked after very well.
I have play tested this record (no *visual testing only* nonsense) & it sounds as deep & warm as a nicely drawn bath- just like original mono copies should. No jumps or skips & very little audio deterioration at all really. Great as it is but with a pro clean it would sound nearly as good as new.
Secondly, the sleeve:
Generally really great. Strong, clean & undamaged except for a slightly creased corner or two.
Made by E J Day which I believe to be both rarer & of better quality than the G & L counterparts.
Inner sleeve in great condition too.
In summary- a great collectable at a realistic starting price. You'll get plenty of enjoyment from this one & it's a solid investment too.
