Description
Rare original 1953 copy of one of Pete Seeger's earliest records. In fact, I think this is his second solo album! Later issued as a 12" and reissued a few times over the years, but this is the very first edition of "A Pete Seeger Concert - Folk Songs and Ballads" on Stinson SLP-57, a double 10" gatefold. Usually these records are terribly trashed when you manage to find them, but this one is in quite nice condition. The cover is really quite good, except that the record pockets are split. The first one is completely split at the top and bottom and the second is split at the bottom but only partially at the top. Otherwise the cover is in pretty good shape for this record. VG+... see photos. The discs, likewise, are about VG+, playing quite nicely with a bit of noise. Really not bad at all. Mostly pretty quiet and very enjoyable. Some noise in quieter parts, and a lot is quiet, but it is entirely listenable. I have collected folk records for years and this is the best copy I have ever seen of this rarity. Not mint, but I have never seen a mint copy.
