Description

CARLOS CHAVEZ conducts a Program of Mexican Music, sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art. Originally recorded in New York c. 1941, reissued on a ten-inch lp in 1949 at which point the cover art was done by Andy Warhol..this is thought to be his earliest album cover. The music is excellent but this seems to be of more interest for the Warhol cover. Personally I prefer the music but what do I know?
