The book , 400 pages,includes over 4000 scans (in colour of sleeves and labels) and shows all sleeves issued for singles and EP's during his existence from 1957 till 1970.
Ealy sixtees Artone was the most important Dutch record label and the first record company that issued all his records with a picture sleeve (as from 1963) and what a picture sleeves!!! The “bandsleeves” are known all over the world. Artone was first known for his extensive collection Jazz records. Later the label included rock and roll artists like : Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Paul Anka, Lloyd Price, Brian Hyland, Johnny Tillotson, Ray Charles, Chubby Checker. To ove on to the Tamla Motown artists but allso beatbands like Easybeats, Jay and the americans, Fortunes etc.
Next to all singles and EP's the book also shows the way Artone was visible in the press with release lists, press releases, advertising postcards, windowadvertisements etc.
