Description
These two Jamaican 45s really need to be sold as a pair. each disc features an uptempo electric side, recorded at the same session, and an acoustic track also recorded in one session. The first disc, which is in VG condition, comprises the original cut of "Stir It Up" (RM 45 628B), with "This Train" (WIRL BM 3274-2) on the flip. The other disc, in VG+ condition, comprises "Bus Dem Shut" (RM 45 628A), and the instrumental "Lyrical Satirical I" (WIRL BM 3273-1). The tracks were recorded in June 1967 and released in August of the same year. The electric tracks feature Hugh Malcolm, Jackie Jackson, Lynn Taitt, Ranford Williams and Winston Wright as the band, almost certainly at the same session, while the acoustic tracks feature Bob and Peter's guitars, with Bunny and Alvin "Seeco" Patterson on percussion - his first sesion with the Wailers. Given that the tracks were released on two separate discs, they need to be heard together. This is a purchase for serious Marley collectors only, so no timewasters please.
