MEGA RARE ORIGINAL SOUTH AFRICAN PRESSING-vinyl even under a bright 100 watt desk lamp i can only see a couple of nearly invisible paper sleeve removal traces / hairlines ,in amazing condition for a 41 year old record vinyl ex++ to near mint very clean has most of its original gloss just a small area of loss of gloss-
plays excellent loud clear and clean with even the intros crystal clear the only very lightest of surface noise was heard at rare times on the 'cocoanut grove ' song and certainly not an issue ( probably disappear with a clean but even if doesn't its not a big deal ) no other issues with playback ( listened to whole record as i do with all my listings )
gatefold COVER is laminated completely on the outside and in excellent condition there is a tiny 2mm nick at opening edge thats so small no other dealers would probably mention-cover has tiny area of laminate lifting - around the perimeter /edges of front cover some light grubbiness on edge of laminate ( again a non issue im just a painfully honest dealer,see photo for yourself you'll see a nice cover ) inside of gatefold nice and clean no issues-both seams and spine are fully intact with basically no wear whatsoever ( probably protected by the laminate )
record LABELS are clean with no issues- matrix numbers are stamped and are as follows SIDE ONE ' 6360004 1 Y // 2 12 ' And SIDE TWO ' 6360004 B 112 ' - i have been told that sometime south african presses used original uk mother plates but i cant confirm this -what i can confirm is that it plays equal to the sonic quality of my own personal uk copy so it wouldn't surprise me if it had been pressed off original uk mother press plates-
any copy of affinity is now very rare and nice copies from any country go for over $500 so this is a great price for this one in its beautiful condition-blink and it will be gone as copies from this country of pressing are EXTREMELY rare due to tiny pressing runs and is highly sought after for its laminated outer cover-
