ALFRED CORTOT 1953 LETTER 26-3-‘53





On auction a letter from the correspondence between Alfred Cortot and the Amsterdam based antiquarian Rothschild.


This letter is about the purchase of antique scores, which Cortot bought from Rothschild.





Mr Rothschild was an amateur cellist and the brother of the violinist FRITZ ROTHSCHILD,


who was in the first line-up of the ADOLF BUSCH quartet.





This letter is dated March 26, 1953 and was sent from a Hotel in Essen, Germany.
