Description

Chopin: 24 Preludes- Alfred Cortot, piano. 4-12": German gold print,
bright red label Electrola discs DB 2015/18. Cortot's brilliant 1934
remake of his late 1920s set. Cortot captured international fame
in the 1920s when he gave a series of recitals of Chopin's complete
piano music in Paris. In 1934  U.S. Victor version screwback  counterpart album M-282
of this Electrola recording. Superior Electrola surfaces. Mint condition,

From the private collection of R. Peter Munves, who was in the record business as well as an avid collector for over 50 years and has decided to part with his beloved collection. All albums are from the late 20’s to early 40’s, and many are original, 1st editions containing pristine pressings from the golden age of 78’s. This collection consists of a nearly complete run of RCA Victor Musical Masterpiece Albums and Columbia Masterworks Album Sets. Our listings are drawn from this extensive collection.
